ABOUT BERT

Bert Wallace comes from Barnsley in South Yorkshire, and he enjoys reading and writing. He also enjoys listening to music, playing the guitar, and singing. These hobbies influence his work along with everyday events. Through the scouting movement, Bert has completed his gold DofE as well has his scouting award, which has branched out influences in his writing. Bert enjoys writing short stories, with post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, and adventure themes, as well as poetry.

Bert's Work

I enjoy writing. I enjoy the freedom I get from creating a new world and building unique lives within them. I enjoy being able to explore my own ideas in a setting that allows continued growth in a direction I hadn’t originally conceived. For me, writing is something that I love and cherish in all forms, from short stories to poetry. In all forms of writing, I can express myself, and in all forms I can experiment. Writing isn’t just about my ideas either, it’s about my life, and other people’s lives, I love to gain influence from everything around me and almost dramatize it so I can plant a seed of where the new story may grow in one way or another.
